The Ortigas Center Library Consortium (OCLC) Inc. in cooperation of Jose Rizal University Library would like to invite you to a forum on “Strategies in Effective Searching of Information” on July 16, 2008 from 1:00–5:00 p.m. It will be held at the Jose Rizal University Multimedia Section, Mandaluyong City.

The forum has the following objectives:
v To learn the new techniques in searching information
v To know the research tools in searching information

Greetings!The Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians (PAARL) in cooperation with the Association of Booksellers for the Academe and the Professions (ABAP) will hold a forum entitled "Reviewing Standards of Library Resources Management" on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 1:30 to 4:30 P.M. at the MegaTrade Hall 1, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

This forum shall provide a venue to discuss the current issues and concerns of library and information managers on the aspects of developing and managing library resources in line with the standards of CHED and other accrediting agencies.

Dr. Heracleo D. Lagrada, Director, Office of Programs and StandardsCommission on Higher Education is invited to be the Resource Speaker and share his views and knowledge of the topic.

This forum can only accommodate seventy-five (75) participants. Please reserve your slot now. Ramos, also supervised a memorial library, came to PNU from barrio library work, where he managed three libraries and adult classes for Trinity College of Quezon City-Sagada Special Academic Program for 3 years. He started as a teacher-librarian (E. Abada High School, DCS, Manila) in 1992, became an instructor-librarian for six years (St. Louis College of Valenzuela City), and previously college librarian of the Education & Periodicals Section of PNU, 2008 president to PNU-LISAA, Inc., now conference chair to Every Librarian's Association, PAARL, Inc He earned academic units both for Master in Public Administration and Master in Educational Management. Presently, he is enrolled in MAED with Library Science as specialization at PNU and used to work in the IRS of DLSU-Manila and now associate librarian to its Archives services.
